Virgin Islands Getaway

If you haven't been to the Virgin Islands, my only advice will be this....GO, GO NOW! These islands are amazing and re-defined tropical paradise to both Oneea and I. I'm not sure how I missed them for 35 years of existence, but now that I've spent some time there, I know that we will certainly be returning...only this time, we'll bring friends and family to share in our new favorite spots. These photos were taken over a 2 week period in Jan 2011. We spent time in St John (US territory), Virgin Gorda and Anegada (British territories). We also got out on the water a few times to see some of the other smaller cays, snorkel spots, and beach bars. We had a great trip, met some really great people, and feel like we barely scratched the surface on everything the US and British Virgin Islands have to offer....next visit can't come soon enough.

Captain John, who runs Palm Tree Charters, was a great host and took us to some amazing places for our 6th anniversary.
The first morning in Virgin Gorda, I woke up early to hike down the trail and check out the sunrise from the Baths. It was pretty cool to have such a jawdropping place all to myself...I returned later in the day to find a much different scene. Lots of cruise ship passengers, dinghy boats, etc. Definitely a place to head before 9am or after 3pm...But you gotta see this place in person..the boulders are gigantic and the hidden pools are aplenty.
